Lady Camden was a perfect hostess - glamorous, authentic, perceptive, funny and inclusive. She quickly got a feel for my guests and did a stellar job of engaging people, teasing them lovingly, hostessing bingo, keeping the energy high and the laughter erupting.

Sounds like it’s time to work those ‘legs eleven’, get out the ‘garden gate’ and embrace this new gin-fuelled bingo event.

The event will be hosted by singer Rosalie Galvin, best known for her appearance on BBC’s Altogether Now.

Looking for your next fun work night out? Then may we suggest Hijingo, a brand-new bingo hall with a difference that’s set to open on Worship Street in Shoreditch in March.

According to Timeout, the concept is a fusion of traditional bingo games, high-spec production and showstopping theatrical visuals, with the team working with big names like Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Jay-Z.

More than 200 people can converge on the sepace to come and play a round or two of boozy bingo and there’s also a semi-private space that can be hired out – with room for up to 30 people, this could easily be perfect for your next office party.

You’ll find yourself well looked after drinks-wise, since there two bars to choose between. And if you’re a big fan of Asian cuisine, you’ll be in luck – the menu consists of the likes of pork katsu bagel with slaw and karashi mustard, and Korean chicken and gochujang sauce.

But it’s not just bingo you can find here – there’s also a purpose-built stage framed with LED walls, a 360 degree sound system and stadium-grade lighting, so perfect for your next business conference or event if you’re impressed with it as a venue.

If bingo still doesn’t sound like your thing and you’d rather take the team elsewhere, what about London Shuffle Club instead? This is the first shuffleboard club in the whole of the UK, apparently, and it’s right here in the heart of Shoreditch.

There are six indoor planes and an outdoor shuffleboard terrace that has two rainproof lanes and its own cocktail bar… inside an Airstream!

The game itself (originally known as deck shuffleboard because it was played onboard transatlantic cruise ships) involves two teams using long cues (or tangs) to push weighted disks (or biscuits) down a narrow lane.

The idea is to land the biscuits in a scoring triangle at the opposite end, with different points up for grabs. The first team that hits 75 points wins!

There’s also food on offer for when you’ve worked up an appetite with all that shuffling and there are some delicious handmade pizzas on the menu, as well as craft beers to wash it all down with.

What about booking a Bottomless Shuffle Brunch ticket, which gives you a taste of shuffleboarding, with two hours of bottomless prosecco, draught beers and pizza for some weekend afternoon team-building.

Of course these are just two of the many activities you can find in this busy part of London, so just do a bit of research and spend some time exploring the local area. You’ll soon find favourite haunts of your own.
